PROJECT 1
Students will be able to enhance their knowledge about the precedence focus areas and contemporary ideas in mental health with the help of this assessment. There is a requirement for expedition and critical discussion of the present literature in this assessment. This will allow students to choose one question (from two possible) and complete it from international and national perspectives in contemporary literature.
Select one (1) of the following topics:
Question 1: Improving the health of Native people is the priority of national health as Native citizenry are hospitalised for mental health issues at twice the rate of non-Native people (AIHW, 2020). Examine the contemporary literature critically and cover five (5) causative factors relating to mental unwellness in Native people. Explain one (1) proven-based societal sensitive nursing participation that could be applied when working with a Native client suffering from mental illness.
Question 2: It is the national priority to participate in mental healthcare(Australian Government, Department of Health, 2019). There will be a positive effect on the outcomes from both an individual and community orientation as a result of early participation. Examine the contemporary literature critically and explain five (5) advantages of preliminary participation in mental health. Explain one (1) evidence-based nursing intervention that could be applied when working with someone with an emergent mental health condition.

The following are the main concepts in mental health which students can show their understanding of patients:
LO1. Determine national and international concepts of mental health;
LO2. Highlight spiritual, cultural and biopsychosocial factors impacting the experience of a person about mental health issues;
LO3. Identify the role for the mental health nurse in the provision of collaborative care to people experiencing mental health issues, their family and carers within the multidisciplinary team
